Thinking of both physical and digital space in the eyes of the user. I design to create spaces that are both functional and attractive. From space planning to material selection, to the route you take to get from one place to another, design is everywhere and I believe that it should be aesthetically pleasing.
Digital spaces should be looked at as blueprints for their physical counterpart. With help from still and motion images 3D models help not only sell a project but helps build it as well.
Project Management is a key requirement of design. It requires creative problem solving, organizing teams, timelines, and budgeting. I believe that different people and tasks have different management needs, and I strive to gain from these experiences as much as others gain from me.
Studio culture is an important but often overlooked aspect of the design and problem solving process. I believe that when people of different skill sets and backgrounds work together the end result far exceeds expectations.
Organization is part of being effective in all aspects of life. It contributes to all other skills. It means making lists, checking them twice, and problem solving when the original steps don’t work.
Learning is a part of everyday life. Whether it is to fix something in your house, learn a new furniture refinishing technique, or learning new skills from those around you it is important to add to your knowledge bubble. Currently, I am spending my freetime learning the Salesforce trails, basic HTML, and how to manage a home garden - but I look forward to learning from others in my career.
